Supporting Positive Action, Resourcefulness, Knowledge, and Service
Small Group Meetings
Youth members participate in small group programs and learn both individual and collective decision-making skills. This helps them grow and learn to become good citizens in their communities through various learning projects. Diversity among SPARKS members creates a more positive learning environment, and one we can utilize to teach about strengths and weaknesses. Comprehensive youth programming provides lessons in learning more about themselves, discovering and growing new skills, their community and place within it, as well as how to create a positive impact on society through service learning.
Serving the Community
Community service-oriented curriculums are essential for youth programming because they teach empathy, leadership, and responsibility. By engaging in service young people develop a sense of purpose and learn how to make positive impact in their communities and beyond.
Through hands-on projects and mentorship, we cultivate skills like teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving, all while fostering a commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. By investing in our youth, we’re building a stronger, more thoughtful future for everyone.
Environmental Education

We have integrated outdoor classroom curriculum into an annual Saturday Nature camp program. This camp is open to the public and is held outdoors utilizing exciting nature-based curriculum. Program activities focus on consequences of environmental stewardship, decision-making and leadership skills, and awareness of our local community. In addition, we host weekend camp sessions for members where classes focus on skills such as archery, canoes, nature, and crafts.
